Some offices have drop boxes installed outside, so documents can still be hand-delivered. Visit the housing authority's website for the latest on its current operations, if one is available. If there is no information online, contact the housing authority directly. Vivente I

Vivente I is an affordable housing development providing permanent independent living opportunities and services for persons with physical disabilities. The site for Vivente I was provided by and adjacent to Valley Medical Center in San Jose as a way to house person who need fully accessible housing. Valley Medical Center and the Veteran's Administration offer support to Vivente I residents. The community was co-sponsored by HIP Housing.

Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly

Since this property was built or renovated using funding from HUD's Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program, residency is usually restricted to households earning 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or less with at least one member age 62 years or older. Tenants pay rent based on household income. This rent is usually the highest of the following three amounts: either 30% adjusted monthly income, or 10% unadjusted monthly income, or, if receiving welfare assistance, the housing costs portion of this assistance.
