Altamira Family Apartments Waiting List
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (SCCDC) Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for apartments at Altamira Family Apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from November 16, 2020 until December 18, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
There were two ways to apply during the opening period:
Please note: According to SCCDC "One-bedroom waitlists are for households consisting of one to four persons. Two bedroom waitlists are for households consisting of two to six persons. Three bedroom waitlists are for households consisting of three to eight persons"
This waiting list had the following preferences:
Applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences. The one-bedroom waitlists will be limited to no more than 300 applicants, the two-bedroom waitlist will be limited to no more than 150 applicants and the three-bedroom waitlist will be limited to no more than 100 applicants.

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (CDC) working with a non-profit development partner, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) to implement an affordable housing project on a site owned by the CDC.
Because Altamira Family Apartments participates in HUD's HOME program for rental housing and the LIHTC program, at least some of the units in this property are set aside for households earning 60% or less of the AMI and rents are capped at the local FMR and in many cases much lower. Some of the LIHTC units may have even lower household income requirements and corresponding lower rent caps.
