Since this property is a LIHTC property that might not have a project based rental assistance contract, it is likely that it either has no waiting list or the waiting list is shorter than properties with rental assistance. You should contact the property to verify.
Note: Affordable Housing Online has not confirmed the waiting list status directly with the property. This waiting list status forecast is based on our housing experts' knowledge of similar properties. You should always confirm this status directly with the property.
Villas of the Valley I is one of 18 properties in the Cincinnati area acquired by POAH from The Model Group in May 2018. This acquisition preserved 1,100 rental apartments at a time when the neighborhood was seeing significant investments in infrastructure, new public transportation options, and an expansion of the district’s art and dining scene. This ensured the units would remain affordable long-term and allow residents of all income levels to participate in the economic renaissance of the neighborhood. POAH Communities will also implement a Community Impact program across the portfolio to help residents succeed, with outcome-driven resident services that foster financial stability, health and education.
Home to 42 low- and moderate-income seniors, Villas of the Valley I is located in Lincoln Heights, Ohio.
Because Villas of the Valley I participates in HUD's HOME program for rental housing and the LIHTC program, at least some of the units in this property are set aside for households earning 60% or less of the AMI and rents are capped at the local FMR and in many cases much lower. Depending on the number of HOME-designated units, additional units may have even lower household income requirements and corresponding lower rent caps.

Applying for housing with bad credit.
Most HUD housing programs, like Section 8 and Public Housing, do not have a credit check. But Section 8 landlords will likely require one for an available unit.Lisa Selby says:
"After years of applying for Section 8 and never being called, this website is the reason I finally received my voucher, and just moved into my new apartment! If I had not started receiving alerts from Affordable Housing Online of waiting list openings in my area, I would not be where I am today!"
