Housing Works last accepted Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Moonlight Townhomes Apartments from February 5, 2024, until February 14, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was to be either:

Dropped off in person at the drop box at the front of the Housing Works building.
Faxed to Housing Works.
Emailed to Housing Works.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

Applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

This LIHTC property is among the most common types of affordable rental housing in the United States. The LIHTC program only provides subsidies to the building’s owner at construction. No subsidies are provided directly to the residents, but the owner must set rents affordable to low-income renters in the area. Our data suggests Moonlight Townhomes does not participate in any project-based rent subsidy program. This means you must earn enough to pay the full rent or have your own Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher. For that reason, LIHTC properties tend to have shorter waiting lists or even none at all. LIHTC properties nationwide are required to accept housing vouchers. LIHTC properties were first built in the late 1980's.
