The Athens Housing Authority (AHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.


Athens, TN is about 60 miles northeast of Chatanooga, TN.


To apply, visit the AHA to pick up an application, located at 199 Clark St., Athens, TN 37303, from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday.


Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.


Be sure to include these documents with your application: Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all earned and unearned income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.


The AHA does not have a preference. 


Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the application is received.
