The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (MDHCD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening for the month of February.
The MDHCD will begin accepting applications for this waiting list on February 1, 2023 at 9:00 am ET.
This waiting list is for rental assistance in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Somerset, Talbot and Worcester County, Maryland.
The online application will be available through the month of February, and will close on February 28, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
The Housing Authority of the County of Butte (HACB) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opens on January 30, 2023 at 9:00 am PT.
Applications will be available online only, and the online portal will stay open until February 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm PT.
There are preferences for this waiting list, and the HACB will select 1,500 applicants by random lottery.
The Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 1, 2023, until March 15, 2023.
The Chester Housing Authority (CHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open for a limited time.
This waiting list for low-income rental assistance in Chester, PA opened earlier this month, and closes on January 31, 2023.
The application is available online only, and there are preferences for waiting list placement.
The Ocala Housing Authority (OHA) waiting list for Public Housing apartments opened on February 8, 2023 for more than a month.
When the waiting list opened, applications will be available only through an online portal.
These apartments offer rental assistance in Marion County, Florida. This waiting list is not for Section 8 HCV rental assistance.
Wait until you have a Section 8 voucher to find housing.
It usually takes months or years to reach the top of a Section 8 HCV waiting list. Any apartments you see now will likely not be available when you get your voucher.Lisa Selby says:
