New Waiting List Announcements
Kent and Sussex County, DE Section 8 HCV and RAD Waiting List
The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) applications until March 18, 2022 at 4:30 pm ET.
Oak Park, IL Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Oak Park Housing Authority (OPHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 14, 2022 at 8:30 am, until March 25, 2022 at 3:00 pm CT.
Eastpointe Area, MI Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Eastpointe Housing Commission (EHC) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list application from April 2, 2022, until April 3, 2022.

Kent and Sussex County, DE Public Housing Waiting List
The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) is accepting Public Housing applications until March 18, 2022 at 4:30 pm ET.
Rockville, MD Section 8 PBV and Public Housing Waiting Lists
Rockville Housing Enterprises (RHE) will accept Section 8 Project-Based Voucher and Public Housing waiting list applications for 1, 2, 3 and 4-Bedroom apartments from March 16, 2022 at 9:00 am, until March 18, 2022 at 5:00 pm ET.
Rocky Mount, NC Public Housing Waiting List
The Rocky Mount Housing Authority (RMHA) will accept Public Housing waiting list applications for 1, 2, 3 and 4-Bedroom apartments from March 16, 2022 at 9:00 am ET, until 300 applications have been received.

Yorktown Area, NY Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Town of Yorktown will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 28, 2022 at 12:01 am, until April 29, 2022 at 11:59 pm ET.
Volusia County, FL Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Volusia County Community Assistance Division (VCCAD) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher applications for one day on March 24, 2022; from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm ET.
Bucks County, PA Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 14, 2022, until further notice.
Pittsylvania County, and Danville City, VA Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (DRHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Pittsylvania County, and Danville City will be accepted from March 1, 2022, until March 31, 2022.
Orange, TX Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the City of Orange (HACO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from April 1, 2022 at 9:00 am CT, until 500 applications have been received.
Multi-County, MI Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Emmet, Presque Isle and Roscommon County from February 23, 2022 at 9:00 am, until March 25, 2022 at 3:00 pm ET.
Multi-County, MI Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Arenac, Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Clare, Clinton, Gladwin, Gratiot, Hillsdale, Ionia, Isabella, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Midland, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, Ottawa, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St Clair, St Joseph, and Van Buren County from March 1, 2022 at 9:00 am, until March 31, 2022 at 3:00 pm ET.
Washtenaw County, MI Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Washtenaw County from March 15, 2022 at 9:00 am, until March 17, 2022 at 3:00 pm ET.
Multi-County, TX Section 8 HCV Waiting List
The Central Texas Council of Governments (CTCOG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from January 31, 2022 at 8:00 am CT, until further notice.
Milwaukee, WI Section 8 HCV, PBV, and Public Housing Waiting Lists
The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Section 8 Project-Based Voucher, and Public Housing waiting list applications from December 15, 2021 at 9:00 am CT, until further notice.
More Housing Opportunities
If there are no Section 8 HCV openings in your area, there are more waiting lists that are open now or opening soon in other areas. You can apply to open waiting lists in different areas of the country.
There are also many other opportunities available for low-income housing. Apartment properties operated by housing authorities and private management companies have income-based or affordable monthly rent rates. If there are no open waiting lists in your area, there may be open waiting lists in nearby cities and counties.
Applying for affordable housing can be difficult at times. It is important to be familiar with the requirements and qualifications before applying. Knowing these policies helps make these programs easier to understand.
