How To Apply to the Public Housing Waiting List
The Delaware State Housing Authority (DHA) waiting list for Public Housing apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least July, 2017, until further notice.
Please note: Program participants, except the elderly or disabled, must also be enrolled in the Moving to Work (MTW) program.
There are four ways to apply during the opening period:
- Complete the online application here.
- Call (888) 363-8808 to request an application by mail.
- Pick up an application at the DSHA waiting list office, located at Liberty Court, 1289 W. Walker Road, Dover, Delaware 19904.
- Open and print the application online here. Select the "Print an application form" link.
Once the paper application has been completed, it must be mailed or faxed to the DSHA.
This waiting list has the following preferences: Live or work in Kent or Sussex County, working more than 20 hours per week, veteran, head of household and spouse/co-head have never participated in the Moving to Work Program.
Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences. The DSHA operates a single waiting list for its housing programs.

Reasonable Accommodation
