Santa Familia consists of affordable garden apartments for families and seniors. Santa Familia is arranged around a spacious courtyard and includes amenities such as extensively landscaped grounds, a playground, and a computer technology center. The community center houses an on-site child care center. In 2003, Santa Familia was selected as a semi-finalist for the MetLife Foundation Awards for Excellence in Affordable Housing in the Property and Asset Management category.

Since this property has received funding in part through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, a certain number of units are set aside for lower income households. Households must earn either less than 50% or 60% of the area median income (depending on the set-aside option chosen by the property owner) to qualify for these units.
