Conveniently located in central Hartford's Frog Hollow neighborhood, Casa Nueva is in close proximity to shopping and dining with easy access to public transportation. Our community features a collection of 11, three- and four-story walk-up garden-style buildings with mix of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom residences. Originally built between 1910 and 1927, Casa Nueva was converted to affordable housing in 1979.
Since Casa Nueva participates in the Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance program, your rent would be subsidized. You would not pay more than 30% of your income for rent. To qualify, you must earn 50% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI), which you can find on this page’s income chart. Also, project-based Section 8 properties tend to have longer waiting lists, with some with waiting lists going out for years.
