Since this property may have a Section 8 Property Based Rental Assistance contract with rental assistance available to its residents, it is likely the property has a waiting list. Dartmouth Court Apartments is a 28 unit complex located west of downtown Greensboro. The complex is only minutes from the I-40 and I- 85, the Greensboro Coliseum, Koury Convention Center, several large shopping centers and all area colleges. Dartmouth Court offers one of the best locations to all parts of the city of Greensboro with easy access to the main thoroughfares. Dartmouth Court has 2 and 3 bedroom apartments housed in four brick buildings with the Laundry Room located next to the Office. All units are subsidized under the section 8 program through the U.S. Department of HUD and North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. In 2001, Dartmouth Court was recognized by HUD as one of the top 1000 High Performing Multifamily Properties in the nation in providing decent, safe, and affordable housing and proving that multifamily housing works.

Dave's Thoughts On Dartmouth Court Apartments

Since Dartmouth Court Apartments participates in the Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance program, your rent would be subsidized. You would not pay more than 30% of your income for rent. To qualify, you must earn 50% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI), which you can find on this page’s income chart. Also, project-based Section 8 properties tend to have longer waiting lists, with some with waiting lists going out for years. Since this property participates in the Section 8 Project Based Rental Assistance program and has a property based subsidy, if you have a Section 8 voucher, you would have to give up your voucher to move in.
