Affordable Housing Online has announced four new Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list openings this week!

The County of Hawaii Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) waiting list for the Tenant-Based Rental Assistance HOME program opens Thursday, January 19th.
The HOME program is a tenant-based rental assistance program for low-income households. "Depending on available funding, the TBRA program can provide housing assistance for a maximum of 24 months," according to the OHCD public notice.
There are preferences, and the date and time the application is submitted does affect waiting list placement.
The Cleburne Housing Agency (CHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opens at noon, 12:00 pm CT, on January 16, 2023.
The CHA will accept applications online only until further notice.
Preferences for placement on the waiting list have not yet been confirmed.
The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for select counties opened in January for one day only.
This waiting list is for low-income rental assistance in Cannon, Cheatham, Fayette, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Tipton, Trousdale and Wilson County, Tennessee.
Applications for this waiting list will be available online, starting at 6:00 am CT on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. The waiting list will then close at 11:59 pm on the same day.
The Houston Housing Authority (HHA) Public Housing waiting list was open, and accepted applications until February 15, 2023.
Applications are available both online and in person. The online application is available in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Swahili.
The HHA will close the waiting list on February 15th at 4:00 pm CT.
This waitlist is for Public Housing apartments in Houston, Texas.
The Punta Gorda Housing Authority (PGHA) accepts Public Housing waiting list applications for 2 and 4-Bedroom apartments from December 19, 2022, until further notice.
Preferences must be verified by documents.
