The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on May 6, 2024 from 8:00 am, until 8:00 pm PT. The HACA will also accept Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for 3 and 4-bedroom Apartments in Emeryville and Union City. According to the HACA, this is "a 1-day extension to the April 2024 waitlist opening. If you applied during the April waitlist opening, you do not need to take any action. All applications received in the previous April 2024 opening and this one-day opening will be entered into the lottery."
The Housing Authority of the City of High Point (HACHP) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 1, 2024 at 9:00 am, until September 30, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2019.
The Housing Authority of the City of Erie (HACE) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 13, 2024 at 8:30 am, until May 17, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May, 2021.
The Rockland County Department of Social Services (RCDSS) will accept Section 8 Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 13, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2021.The RCDSS will also accept Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Youngblood Senior Housing, Walnut Hills Senior Housing, Depew Manor Senior Housing, Spring Valley Preservation and Spring Valley Site lll.
The Albemarle County Office of Housing (ACOH) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications from May 6, 2024 at 10:00 am, until May 13, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2023.
The Montclair Housing Authority (MHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications beginning on June 15, 2024, according to an April 19 report by Talia Adderly of the Montclair Local News. The close date has not yet been confirmed. This is the first time the waiting list has opened since 2007.
The Dickenson County Rental Assistance will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on May 8, 2024 from 9:00 am, until 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2023.
Announced during New York City's State of the City address by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Section 8 Housing Voucher Waiting List will open on a date to be announced in 2024. NYCHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications in December, 2009.
The Hialeah Housing Authority (HHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 22, 2024 at 8:30 am, until April 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in June, 2021.
The South Carolina Regional Housing Authority No. 1 (SCRHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Laurens County from April 15, 2024, until April 30. 2024. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since September, 2017.
The Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 26, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 2, 2024 at 3:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2023.
The West Orange Public Housing Agency (WOPHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 3, 2024 at 8:30 am ET, until 300 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2016.
The Reno Housing Authority (RHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher wait list applications from April 15, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 3, 2024 at 5:00 pm PT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2019.
The Citrus County Housing Services Division (HSD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from May 1, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2021.
The Glens Falls Housing Authority (GFHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 4, 2024 at 9:00 am, until March 8, 2024 at 3:30 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in September, 2020.
The Olathe Housing Authority (OHA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, and Parkview Manor waiting list applications from May 13, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 17, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting lists have been open since they closed in May, 2023.
The Altoona Housing Authority (AHA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 8, 2024, until May 22, 2024.
The Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 11, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 31, 2024 at 4:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in December, 2022.
The Housing Authority of the City of Aurora (HACA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from April 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm, until May 31, 2024 at 12:00 pm MDT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May, 2023.
The Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority (SFCHA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications twice a month on Wednesdays from January 10, 2024 at 10:00 am, until December 4, 2024 at 4:00 pm MT.
The Chautauqua Opportunities Inc (COI) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Chautauqua County from December 20, 2023, until December 27, 2024.
