Open Now: Fort Worth, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting Lists
Fort Worth Housing Solutions (FWHS) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Mainstream Voucher waiting list applications from June 17, until June 21, 2024. These waiting lists opened last week, but FWHS stated that because of a glitch, anyone who applied must reapply this week.
The Mainstream Voucher program is a program only for non-elderly persons with disabilities. To qualify with Fort Worth Housing Solutions, applicants must be between 18 and 62 years of age, and meet one of five criteria.

Open Soon: Greater Richmond Area, Virginia Low-Income Housing Waiting Lists
There are three big waiting lists that the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) will open from June 24, until June 28, 2024 at 5:00 pm ET.
The RRHA will accept waiting list applications for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, Public Housing, and Project-Based Voucher apartments.
For the Section 8 Voucher program, this waiting list is for rental assistance in City of Richmond; and Chesterfield; and also Hanover, and Henrico County, Virginia.
The Public Housing waiting list is opening for all apartments. Meanwhile, the PBV waiting list is for Watermark Gardens, Blackwell Senior Cottages, and Winchester Forest.
All waiting lists will use an online application. Get ready to apply for each opening:

Open Soon: Bloomington, Minnesota Low-Income Housing Waiting Lists
The Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority (BHRA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 15, 2024, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in September 2018.
There are six preferences for this waiting list, and applications may be completed online or in person.

Also, the BHRA will accept Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications from July 15, 2024, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in November 2018.
The preferences and methods to apply are the same as the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list.

Open Now: South Milwaukee, Wisconsin Public Housing Waiting List
The Housing Authority of the City of South Milwaukee (doing business as Parkcrest Housing) is accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for 2-Bedroom apartments from June 17, 2024, until July 18, 2024.
Applicants for this waiting list can be picked up in person or printed out online, but you must be able to have transportation to the Parkcrest Housing office to apply. All applications must be hand delivered to the Parkcrest Housing office.

Opens Soon: Rock Island, Illinois Rental Housing Support Program Waiting List
The Rock Island Housing Authority (RIHA) will accept Rental Housing Support Program waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom apartments from July 1, 2024, until further notice.
This waiting list will use an online application, but no other details have been confirmed.

Opens Soon: North Bay, California Senior and Disabled Public Housing Waiting List
The Marin Housing Authority (MHA) will accept Senior and Disabled Public Housing waiting list applications for Studio Apartments at Casa Nova, Golden Hinde, Venetia Oaks, Kruger Pines and Homestead Terrace from June 27, until July 11, 2024. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May 2023.
These waiting lists are for five Senor and Disabled Public Housing properties located in Novato, San Rafael and Mill Valley, California.

Applying for housing with bad credit.
