The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Alger, Antrim, Arenac, Baraga, Benzie, Branch, Cass, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Gratiot, Hillsdale, Houghton, Ionia, Iron, Kalkaska, Keweenaw, Lake, Leelanau, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Mason, Mecosta, Menominee, Missaukee, Montcalm, Newaygo, Oceana, Ogemaw, Ontonagon, Osceola, Presque Isle, Schoolcraft County from October 17, 2023 at 11:00 am, until October 31, 2023 at 11:00 am ET. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since April 2023.
Announced during New York City's State of the City address by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Section 8 Housing Voucher Waiting List will open on a date to be announced in 2024. NYCHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications in December, 2009.
The Housing Authority of Odessa (HAO) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 1, 2023, until October 15, 2023 at 11:59 pm CT.
The St. John the Baptist Parish Housing Authority (SJBPHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waitlist applications from October 2, 2023 at 8:00 am, until October 16, 2023 until 4:30 pm CT.
The Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington (HACB) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 16, 2023 at 9:00 am, until October 19, 2023 at 4:00 pm CT.
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 17, 2023, until October 20, 2023 at 11:59 pm ET.
The Grand Rapids Housing Commission accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list application from October 23, until October 27, 2023.
The Tatum Housing and Beckville Housing Authorities (THBHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 2, 2023 at 9:00 am, until October 31, 2023 at 3:00 pm CT.
The Sonoma County Housing Authority accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 1, until October 31, 2023.
Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 30, 2023 at 9:00 am, until November 3, 2023 at 4:00 MT.
The San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from October 23, 2023 at 8:00 am, until November 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm PT.
The Lycoming Housing Authority (LHA) accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from November 1, 2023 at 9:00 am, until November 17, 2023 at 4:00 pm ET, or until 800 applications have been received.
The Housing Authority of Okanogan County accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from September 18, until December 18, 2023.
The Alto Housing Authority is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from September 1, until December 31, 2023.
The Grapevine Housing Authority (GHA) accepted Public Housing waiting list applications for Studio and 1-bedrrom apartments from November 1, 2023 at 10:00 am, until November 2, 2023 at 12:00 pm CT, or until 600 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since August, 2019.
