There are six (6) waiting lists for low-income housing that open across the country next week!
These waiting lists are opening on three different days in five states located in the Northeastern, Midwestern, Southern, and Southeastern U.S. Waiting lists for different types of housing will be open, including Section 8 Vouchers, Mainstream Vouchers, and Project-Based Rental Assistance.
These are the waiting lists that are opening between May 20-24, 2024:
Columbus, Georgia Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Housing Authority of Columbus Georgia (HACG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 20, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2023.

Bowie + 10 Texas Counties Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on May 20, 2024 from 8:00 am, until 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in September, 2023.
This waiting list is for Section 8 rental housing assistance in Bowie, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, Titus, Upshur and Wood County, Texas.

Pharr, Texas Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Pharr Housing Authority (PHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 20, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since January, 2024.

Cleveland, Tennessee Project Based Rental Assistance Waiting List
The Cleveland Housing Authority (CHA) will accept Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) waiting list applications for 2 and 3-Bedroom apartments on May 20, 2024 at 10:00 am ET, until 50 applications have been received.

Hennepin and Ramsey County, Minnesota Mainstream Voucher Waiting List
Mental Health Resources (MHR) will accept Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 21, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 23, 2024 at 4:00 pm CT. According to MHR, applicants must meet the Mainstream Voucher requirements to qualify.

There are no new waiting list openings next Wednesday.
Monroe + 4 New York Counties Section 8 Voucher Waiting List
The Rochester Housing Authority (RHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm, until June 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in December, 2019.
This waiting list is for Section 8 rental housing assistance in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans and Wayne County, New York.
