The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) last accepted Public Housing waiting list for 1-Bedroom apartments at City Housing is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least April, 2021, until the earliest confirmed open date of April 19, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

City Housing properties are located throughout the City of Sacramento

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

Homeless (without services)
Veteran
Displaced by Government

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.

The Housing Authority owns one, two, three, four, and five bedroom rental units located throughout the City of Sacramento. They may be single floor units or two-story units. There are apartments, townhouses and single family homes. Some sites are gated. Many have play areas for children. Some sites are designated specifically for elderly and/or disabled residents.

Accessible units are available in some locations.

SHRA properties are non-smoking facilities.

SHRA conducts FBI criminal backgrounds and credit screenings on all adult applicants.
